All of the Uncaged wines are complex, juicy and dynamic. We wanted to craft a brilliant and flavorful, versatile Sauvignon Blanc—in a bold style with excellent acidity and balance. This wine is true to the variety, with a bright acidity attributed to the cool climate of our North Coast vineyards.

Sourced from the North Coast, this Sauvignon Blanc expresses flavors indicative of the region in which the grapes were grown: Juicy tropical fruit flavors balanced by a nice acidity for exceptional balance, mouthfeel and a lingering finish, care of delicate floral and bright citrus flavors.

All of the Uncaged wines are complex, juicy and dynamic. We wanted to craft a food-friendly, versatile Chardonnay—in a bold style with excellent acidity and balance. This wine is true to the variety, with a bright acidity attributed to the cool climate of Santa Lucia Highlands. 

Sourced from Monterey, this Chardonnay expresses flavors indicative of the region which the grapes were grown: Juicy stone fruit flavors balanced by a nice acidity for exceptional balance and mouthfeel and gentle spice character, rounded out with hints of vanilla.

All of the Uncaged wines are big, juicy and dynamic. We wanted to craft a Pinot Noir that Zac would enjoy—a bold style and a modern take on the classic Pinot Noir. True to the variety, with an inviting exuberance.

Sourced from multiple growing regions, this Pinot Noir expresses bright red fruit from Sonoma County, a nice acidity from Monterey for exceptional balance and mouthfeel and signature spice and concentration from Napa County. The end result lends smooth, silky tannins, beautiful fruit flavors and an elegant finish.

When Zac said he wanted to craft big, bold wine, we immediately knew we were going to go to Northern California Coastal vineyards. 

The riches of these vineyards are what give Z. Alexander Brown Cabernet Sauvignon its depth and character. Selecting the best fruit from top vineyard sites in the region enables us to craft a powerful, full-bodied wine with supple tannins and a long, silky finish.

California has some of the finest land in the world for growing grapes. We’ve sourced from a range of sub-appellations and growing conditions, and from a diversity of sites. Our Z. Alexander Brown Proprietary Red Blend achieves complexity and real dimension. We met at Zac’s home for the final blending session and came away with a lush, mouth filling wine that is smooth and round with a generous finish.
